Our Story
For several years, Betty accompanied Alexis to coffee competitions. As the competitions went on, an idea took hold: these extraordinary coffees shouldn’t be reserved solely for professionals.
There, she discovered a world as demanding as it is exclusive: producers who devote years to growing exceptional coffees, baristas who perfect every movement for months on end, and creations that rank among the best in the world.
A question then arose: Why are these coffees reserved for just a few professionals and judges? Why shouldn’t the general public be able to enjoy this experience as well? Together with Alexis, they decided to create a unique space.
Not a coffee shop, but a gourmet coffee bar, where anyone can discover the coffees that inspire international championships, in a friendly, accessible experience guided by a barista.

The Bar is the heart of La Maison du Barista.
There are only six seats at the counter. Each cup is prepared to order by a barista. We serve specialty coffees carefully selected for their origin, terroir, and flavor profile. Whether it’s an espresso, pour-over, Ibrik, or flat white, each preparation reveals a different expression of the same coffee. Our goal is simple: to introduce as many people as possible to the coffees that inspire the world’s top competitions.
The Shop extends the Bar experience.
Here you’ll find a selection of coffees served at the counter, as well as a selection of equipment chosen by our baristas. Our coffee lineup is curated by our baristas and roasted in Paris. Each product is selected because it meets our standards and complements our daily routine at the Bar.

Alexis and Betty founded La Maison du Barista, sharing a common passion for coffee and a clear vision of a world where responsible consumption and quality are paramount. Their meeting was marked by their desire to bring a new approach to coffee consumption, emphasizing the essential role of the barista in the value chain that follows production and artisanal roasting.
